Q. What is the StringLife Treatment System?
A. The StringLife Treatment System is an
environmentally safe flouropolymer (from flourine, a halogen
gas) which molecularly bonds with the outer surface of your
strings, creating a barrier which resists the corrosiveness of
acid perspiration and humidity which lead to your breaking
strings or dead strings.
Q. How does the StringLife Treatment System
compare to the coated strings I'm already purchasing?
A. For a complete discussion on StringLife and pre-coated
guitar strings, visit our Coated
Strings page dedicated to explaining the relationship of the
StringLife Treatment System to pre-coated strings.
Q. Will StringLife hurt the wood of my fretboard?
A. No. The StringLife Treatment System uses a
quick-dry transfer agent which evaporates from the fretboard in
seconds, leaving only the polymer coating to protect your
strings. Unlike other string lubricants--which actually are
absorbed into the wood causing build-up, absorption into the
neck of the instrument, and other related problems--the
StringLife Treatment System protects both your
strings AND your instrument from the harmful effects of chemical
absorption.
Q. But I have a REALLY EXPENSIVE guitar
that I wouldn't even let my Mother touch! You mean StringLife
won't hurt my Precious?
A. The StringLife Treatment System has been
tested thoroughly by professionals in the instrument
manufacturing industry for several years before introducing it
into the public. If
John
Monteleone of
Monteleone
Guitars and Mandolins (his guitars
START at
$10,000.00!) says he uses it, and it backs up its
claims. . . it's good enough for your Precious.
Q. About how long can I expect one bottle of StringLife to
last?
A. It all depends on what size of an instrument, how much you
apply, how often, etc. However, you can expect to get
hundreds of applications out of a single bottle of
StringLife.
Q. Will the StringLife Treatment System work on
bronze acoustic strings?
A. Of course. the StringLife Treatment System
works just as well on bronze acoustic as any other metal-based
string. Just apply the StringLife Treatment System
to the strings, nut and bridge and wipe away the excess with a
soft, lint-free cloth and you're in business! Your bronze
acoustic strings will sound like new again in no time.
Q. Is the StringLife Treatment System good to
use on friction-based instruments such as violin and cello?
A. Since the StringLife Treatment System reduces
string friction, StringLife is not suited for
friction-based stringed-instruments such as violins, cellos,
etc.
